- Job Creation – The HRRC will create 100-120 permanent jobs with a commitment to hiring local veterans and others from disadvantaged groups
- Increasing Wages – Based on the 2008-2010 American Community Survey 3-Year Estimate of the Median Household Income of $24,183 for the City of Hamtramck, it is projected that all jobs created at the HRRC will provide income and benefits greater than the current median income
- Use of Local Businesses – A focused effort will be made to use local businesses to provide services required by the HRRC including but not limited to catering/vending services, printing and reproduction, laundry and uniforms, shop supplies, janitorial services, landscaping and snowplowing services
- Community Services – Through the hosting agreement with the City of Hamtramck, the HRRC will provide discounted waste management services to the residents and local businesses that will include drop-off service for recyclables and hazardous wastes. The HRRC will also provide resources and services to the City in the event of a natural disaster or local emergency.
- Environmentally Sustainable – The HRRC provides the City and surrounding communities an economically viable, environmentally sustainable solution to managing the municipal waste they generate each day.
- Deployment of Resources – The HRRC will restore and place back into service an unproductive Brownfield site that is one of the largest tracks of property within the City of Hamtramck. This will reduce the potential for vandalism and eliminating an eyesore the property now represents.
- New Revenues – Local investment and job creation will create new tax revenue of $750,000-$1,000,000
